Entrepreneurs exported tomatoes for $155.3 million in 11 months

December 18, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Nov 2024, Azerbaijan exported 124,790 tons of tomatoes for $155.36 million to foreign countries. 

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that tomato exports increased by $14.893 million or 10.6% in value terms and by 488 tons or 0.4% in quantitative terms compared with Jan-Nov 2023.

And in the first 11 months of 2023, the country exported 124,302 tons of tomatoes for $140.469 million. For Jan-Nov 2024, the average export price of 1 kg of tomatoes reached 2.03 manats, which is 0.14 manats or 7.3% more than a year ago. Over Jan-Nov 2023, this figure amounted to 1.89 manats. This year, tomatoes accounted for 0.64% of total exports, and the non-oil sector accounted for about 5.03%.
