December 17, Fineko/abc.az. It is planned to introduce specific customs privileges in Azerbaijan starting from next year.

ABC.AZ reports that Azer Amiraslanov, the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship, said about this at the customs business forum in Baku.

"During the recent parliamentary discussions on the 2025 budget package, customs policies and tariffs have been revisited. Starting from the next year, the customs system will not only fulfill its fiscal mission but also promote the industrialization process and projects implemented within the framework of public-private partnerships through customs concessions,” he stressed. 

According to Amiraslanov, electronic declaration, online customs services, digital control and monitoring systems, in short, the complete digitalization of customs control, create conditions for transparency and accountability, giving the impetus to the development of e-government.
"The installation of modern control equipment at Azerbaijan's customs checkpoints not only demonstrates our country's economic power and innovation capabilities but also facilitates the detection of illegal cargo and more reliable protection of our economic borders," he added.
