November 25, Fineko/abc.az. As Azerbaijan increases its domestic olive oil production, exports are also starting to grow.
ABC.AZ reports that the export of Azerbaijani products in the first 3 quarters of 2024 showed significant growth in both quantity and value against the 2023 same term.
In the first 3 quarters, the country exported 795.2 tons of olive oil for $5.4 million (a rise of 97% in quantity or 155% in value against 2023).
According to the State Statistics Committee, in the first 9 months of this year, olive plants in Azerbaijan produced 20,702 tons of olive oil (Jan-Sept 2023 - 18,587 tons).
The largest increase in exports was recorded with Russia. Last year, Russia purchased 415.4 tons of olive oil, or $3 million 83.8.
