Production of black caviar has increased in Azerbaijan - Statistics

October 30, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan produced 617.1 kg of black caviar of sturgeon fish for Jan-Sept 2024 (a rise of 49% or 203.1 kg more against Jan-Sept 2023 - 414 kg of black caviar), ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

Over Jan-Sept 2024, Azerbaijan exported 480 kg of sturgeon caviar for $553,780. The average export price of 1 kg of sturgeon caviar reached 1,961 manats.

Over Jan-Sept 2024, Azerbaijan imported 3,630 kg of black caviar for $1.089 million from China. The average import price of 1 kg of this product was 510 manats.

Black caviar was exported mainly to the UAE (210 kg), the USA (140 kg), Kazakhstan (40 kg), Saudi Arabia (10 kg) and Singapore (10 kg). In addition, 60 kg of caviar were exported to other countries.
