Russia asks Azerbaijan and Georgia for help with supply of electricity in case of accidents

October 16, Fineko/abc.az. The only operator of electricity import and export in Russia, PJSC Inter RAO, is considering the possibility of importing electricity from Georgia and Azerbaijan during accidents.

ABC.AZ reports that the company stated that speech is about the possibility of supplying 300 MW from each country. After the accident at the Rostov NPP in July, about 2.5 million people were left without electricity for several days. It is impossible to allow the same thing in winter or next summer, therefore, energy shortages are "fired from all weapons".

Both countries have not yet responded to Inter RAO's request.
