August 26, Fineko/abc.az. SpaceX specialists successfully conducted a dress rehearsal for the launch of its first private mission, Polaris Dawn. This historic mission will mark the first attempt by astronauts to perform a spacewalk during a private spaceflight.
According to ABC.AZ, the rehearsal took place at Cape Canaveral, Florida, where engineers carried out a static fire test of the Falcon 9 rocket's first stage. The Polaris Dawn crew, consisting of billionaire Jared Isaacman, US Air Force Lt. Col. Scott "Kidd" Poteet, and SpaceX engineers Sarah Gillis and Anna Menon, donned their spacesuits and took their positions inside the Dragon spacecraft.
The launch of the Polaris Dawn mission is scheduled for August 27 at 11:38 AM Baku time.
