This February, prices for the following food products showed a greater increase compared with the previous month: rice, lamb, fresh fish, cottage cheese, butter and olive oil, tangerines, bananas, apples, pears, quinces, pomegranates, cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, pumpkin, beetroot, garlic, onions, sugar, vodka. The reduction in price mainly affected buckwheat, eggs, table margarine, sunflower and corn oils, oranges, carrots. There have been no significant changes in the prices of other food products.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the consumer price index for non-food products in February 2024 made up 100.1% compared with the previous month, and for Jan-Feb 2024 - 101.6% versus Jan-Feb 2023. In February, compared with the previous month, the increase in prices for non-food products was mainly observed in the prices of plastic windows, edged boards, and a decrease in mobile phones and writing paper. There have been no significant changes in prices for other non-food products. In February 2024, the CPI for paid services rendered to the population made up 101.0% compared with the previous month, and for Jan-Feb 2024 - 102.7% compared with an-Feb 2023. In February, compared with the previous month, increase in prices for paid services to the population was mainly observed in tariffs for mobile phone calls and tariffs for international passenger transportation by air. There have been no significant changes in prices for other paid services.
