February 8, Fineko/abc.az. The production of alcoholic beverages in Azerbaijan observed growth in 2023, and the country's population also increased its spending on these drinks.

ABC.AZ reports that country’s vodka production for 2023 reached 1.41 million decaliters, demonstrating annual growth of 13.4%.

Beer production grew by 12.4% up to 5.26 million decaliters, grape wine by 34.9% up to 1.27 million decaliters, cognac and whiskey more than 3-fold up to 310,460 decaliters.

In 2023, country's population spent 45.1 million manats (+1.4% per annum) on beer, 132.25 million manats (+20.9%) on vodka, and 17.71 million manats (+38.5%) on wine.
