January 25, Fineko/abc.az. There is an increase in sales prices for hazelnuts in Khachmaz.

ABC.AZ reports that compared with October-December 2023, product prices grew by 10-15%.

So, if a month ago 1 kg of hazelnuts was sold for 4.5 manats, now the price ranges from 5–5.3 manats. And refined kernels are sold even more expensive.

Most farmers store their crops in warehouses in order to sell them at a better price. The product is mainly sold in local markets during the autumn and winter months. In addition, more than 10 hazelnut pick-up points and hazelnut processing enterprises in the area purchase products from farmers at affordable price.

Currently, farmers in Khachmaz claim that the price is more favorable than last year. Last year, at this time, nuts were bought for 3.5 manats.

The hazelnut harvest in Khachmaz is fully completed in September. Farmers harvested 8,462 tons of crops from the gardens of the district this season.
