January 25, Fineko/abc.az. The EU countries supplied about 3,400 tons of pharmaceutical products to Azerbaijan for Jan-Nov 2023 (5.5% more versus Jan-Nov 2022), ABC.AZ reports with reference to Eurostat.
The value of imports during the reporting period reached approx. €146 million (a rise of 15.1% year-on-year).
Top 3 of exporters of pharmaceutical products for Jan-Nov 2023 includes: Germany - 1,100 tons (decline of 10.2% yoy) for €41.7 million (a rise of 18.6%), Hungary - 738 tons (a rise of 1.5-fold) for €30.4 million (a rise of 36.7%) and Slovenia - 377 tons (decline of 5%) for €17.3 million (a rise of 1.8%).
EU exported about 327 tons of pharmaceuticals to Azerbaijan for November 2023 (decline: 1.9%) for approx. €15.1 million (a rise of 43.8%).
Top 3 of the largest exporters this month includes: Germany - 70 tons (decline of 35.3%) for €6.1 million (a rise of 3.2-fold), Hungary - 55 tons (decline of 40%) for €2.2 million (drop of 9.7%) and Slovenia - 46 tons (decline of 7.3%) for €1.2 million (decline of 17.9%).
According to Eurostat, EU countries exported roughly 3,500 tons of pharmaceuticals to Azerbaijan in 2022 (a rise of 31.7% against 2021) for nearly €137.5 million (a rise of 1.3%).
