January 24, Fineko/abc.az. The conformity assessment of non-food products in the country should be carried out.

ABC.AZ reports that Nazrin Mirzazade, the head of the Regulatory Sector of the Department of Standardization, Technical Regulation & Certification of the State Service for Antimonopoly Control & Consumer Market Supervision, said about this at an event “Non-tariff barriers to trade” in Baku.

She said that not all products require a certificate of conformity. According to the risk group, goods will be divided into goods that belong to the high-risk group, and a certificate of conformity will be required for them. The entrepreneur will be responsible for products belonging to the medium and low risk group.

"Institutions assessing compliance with the requirements must be accredited. The institution must be accredited by the accreditation center, after which it should be issued a certificate," she said.
