January 11, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 6,288,22 tons of eggplants from foreign countries for $3.145 million ($151,770 or 4.6% less in value terms and 300 tons or 4.6% less in quantitative terms versus Jan-Oct 2022), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

From January to October 2022, the country imported 6,588.47 tons of eggplants for $3.297 million.

The price for 1 ton of eggplant this year was $500, and last year - $501. Thus, the import price has increased by $1 over the past year.
