December 14, Fineko/abc.az. Russian President Vladimir Putin apologized to the Russians for the serious rise in prices for chicken eggs and called the current situation a failure in the work of the government.

ABC.AZ reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin said this on a direct line and at a press conference.

"The growth for chicken eggs is 40%, and in some places even more, and for chicken meat. Do you know what happened? As I said, we are experiencing a slight, but nevertheless, increase in income, wage levels, and so on. Demand has increased. It was a relatively cheap protein and, in general, popular with citizens. Demand has increased, but there is no increase in production," Putin explained.

Putin said that one of the reasons for the increase in product prices is that the authorities did not open imports in due volume on time, but now the situation with the cost of chicken eggs should improve.
