October 13, Fineko/abc.az. In Azerbaijan, relevant bodies have been tasked to introduce price tracking system.

ABC.AZ reports that instructions in this regard were given at the meeting of the working group on monitoring inflation and prices by the head of the working group on inflation & price monitoring, Cabinet Ministers’ chief of staff Rufat Mammadov.

It was also noted that in order to ensure a healthy competitive environment in the domestic market, taking into account the high increase in prices for some vegetable products observed in recent days, the State Service for Antimonopoly Supervision & Consumer Market Control (under the Ministry of Economy) will strengthen control measures and operational checks of market entities that allow subjective reasons (violations of competition, redistribution of markets and price manipulation), taking into account the high price growth observed in recent days for some vegetable products, and effective serious measures will be taken.
