October 5, Fineko/abc.az. The recognition of international registration of medicines, e-prescriptions and establishment of the price limit for drugs will lead to expansion of the assortment on the market, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Deputy Health Minister Rasim Ismayilov.

He added that high-quality drugs will become available for the population at lower prices. Serious work has been done in Azerbaijan in this direction, Ismayilov said.

The deputy minister noted that the market of medicines in the country is highly dependent on imports: "The Ministry of Health continues to work with relevant bodies to resolve this issue. As a whole, significant progress has been made in the healthcare sector over the past 20 years. Positive changes, in turn, will have impact on the pharmaceutical industry."
