June 14, Fineko/abc.az. YouTube video hosting has simplified the conditions for participation in the affiliate program, which allows you to earn money on your videos using advertising and other tools.

ABC.AZ reports that now in order to connect to the affiliate program, it is enough to have 500 subscribers and 3,000 hours of views over the past 12 months. Previously, these figures were 1,000 and 4,000, respectively.

In addition, YouTube has lowered the threshold for access to monetization of short videos that compete with TikTok. Now it's enough to get 3 million views in the last 90 days, whereas before it took 10 million.

The new rules will come into force in the near future in five countries: the United States, Great Britain, Canada, Taiwan and South Korea. YouTube is planning to extend them to other regions in the future.
