May 3, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has raised the discount rate by 25 basis points to 9%.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the CBA that the lower threshold of the interest rate corridor has been increased from 7% to 7.5% and the upper one from 9.75% to 10%. The decision on the discount rate comes into force on May 4.

The next time the CBA will discuss the issue of the discount rate on June 21.

On March 29, 2023 the CBA raised the discount rate by 0.25 p.p. to 8.75%. The upper limit of the percentage corridor was raised from 9.5% to 9.75%, and the lower limit from 6.75% to 7%.
