Iron ore is sold at price of less than $100 per ton

April 26, Fineko/abc.az. A ton of iron ore was sold on the world market at price of less than $100 for the first time since the beginning of December. This is linked with difficulties faced by China's construction sector.

ABC.AZ reports that iron ore has risen in price since the end of last year, when China recovered from COVID-19, and hopes that government incentives will increase demand.

A third of country's demand for steel accounts for the construction sector in China. At the moment, government’s ongoing efforts remain a "wind" for the Chinese economy.

The Chinese Iron & Steel Association has warned of difficult market conditions before the end of this year.
