April 18, Fineko/abc.az. The import of 270 types of various goods in Azerbaijan is exempt from customs duties until December 31, 2030.
ABC.AZ reports that in this regard, Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed Cabinet Ministers’ resolution "On Amendments to the Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity of Azerbaijan, Customs Import & Export Duty Rates".
Prior to the changes, a customs rate of 15% was applied to 203 goods from the list, and 5% was applied to 67 goods.
The list includes fishmeal, sugar additives and syrups, some plant seeds, bakery products, animal feed, feed additives, fertilizers, tropical fruits, paper, cardboard and other goods.
On February 8, 2023, by Cabinet’s decree, these types of goods were exempted from customs duty until December 31, 2023.
The new decree comes into force on January 1, 2024.
