April 13, Fineko/abc.az. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is developing an action plan on the restoration of operation of onshore oilfield Zardab. Operational work at the field has been suspended for this reason.

ABC.AZ was informed at SOCAR that although operation of the oilfield has been halted, operational work at the Muradkhanli and Jafarli fields, which are part of the same block, continues. There are 25 wells in those fields, from which 32 tons of oil are extracted daily.

The total area of the Muradkhanli, Jafarli and Zardab fields is 642.2 sq km and is divided by contract into exploration areas with rehabilitation. These fields are located in the Yevlakh-Agjabedi oil & gas bearing area of Imishli district of Azerbaijan.
