April 5, Fineko/abc.az. A unique event has been registered in the banking sector of Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that a bank whose annual deposit portfolio ranges from AZN 150-180 million does not pay a single manat of interests to its depositors.

This case was recorded in the only regional bank of the country - Nakhchivanbank. From 2020-2021 and 2022, this bank has not paid interest to deposit holders for 3 years.

In 2022, the bank's deposit portfolio amounted to AZN 155.416 million, including AZN 29.747 million in foreign currency.

The deposits of individuals in the deposit portfolio totaled AZN 10.37 million, including AZN 1.896 million in foreign currency.
