April 5, Fineko/abc.az. The development of the Turkish industry, as well as the production of the first domestic electric car Togg will open up new opportunities for the Azerbaijani industry, ABC.AZ reports, quoting expert economist Vugar Bayramov.

He noted that Azerbaijan and Türkiye have long history of cooperation. Over the past 20 years Türkiye’s economy has almost tripled, and relations between our countries are deepening. The result of this is that last year our trade turnover grew to $6 bn. At that, Türkiye is one of the two largest partners of Azerbaijan in non-oil exports with an indicator of $3 bn. Türkiye accounts for more than 25% of Azerbaijan's non-oil exports.

Togg is also a new source of imports for Azerbaijan, which will increase the import of these cars from the fraternal country. It can also create a basis for creation and development of a similar industry in Azerbaijan in the future based on technology. Industrialization in Türkiye, development of various innovative directions also allows transfer this experience to Azerbaijan. Thus, the production of Togg car in Türkiye at the next stage will create new opportunities for further deepening cooperation with Azerbaijan in this area," the expert noted.
