February 20, Fineko/abc.az. Interest and non-interest income of banks in Azerbaijan increased in 2022.
ABC.AZ reports that in 2022, compared with 2021, the total revenues of banks grew by about AZN 1 bn, or 32.6%.
Last year, banks' interest income increased by AZN 632 million, or 30% and non-interest income by AZN 340 million, or 39%.
Non-interest income was below 30% in the previous 2 years.
Thus, in 2019, the total revenues of Azerbaijani banks amounted to AZN 2.646 bn, including AZN 1.9 bn of interest income and AZN 724 million of non-interest income. In total revenue, interest income was 73%, and non-interest income - 27%.
In 2020, Azerbaijani banks’ total revenues reached AZN 2.59 bn, including AZN 1.92 bn of interest income and AZN 672 million of non-interest income. In total revenue, interest income was 74%, and non-interest income - 26%.
In 2021, Azerbaijani banks’ overall revenues totaled AZN 2.983 bn, including AZN 2.107 million of interest income and AZN 876 million of non-interest income. In total revenue, interest income was 71% and non-interest income - 29%.
