December 16, Fineko/abc.az. The ruble became one of the strongest currencies in the world in 2022. It is linked, among other things, with transfer of payment for gas to rubles.

ABC.AZ reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin stated about this at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development & National Projects.

"In 2022, the Russian ruble is one of the strongest currencies in the world. This result was achieved due to decisions on the regulation of capital outflow, on the transfer of gas payments to rubles, on the active use of national currencies with trading partners. But first of all, of course, at the expense of responsible financial policy," Putin said.
