Pakistan wants to open a non-profit organization in Azerbaijan

December 15, Fineko/abc.az. Pakistan’s MCB Bank is interested in obtaining a banking license in Azerbaijan, ABC.AZ reports, quoting president of the Pakistan-Azerbaijan Chamber of Economic Cooperation (PAKAZCHAM) Khurram Javaid Bhattin.

"The relevant discussions are currently underway. MCB Bank is one of the largest banks in Pakistan and operates in Azerbaijan as a non–bank credit institution," he emphasized.

MCB was founded in 2019 on the basis of the leasing company, operating since 2009. Its authorized capital is AZN 4.284 million. Among its shareholders are Pakistan’s MCB Bank with equity stake of 99.94% and chairman of board Ramil Jafarov with a stake of 0.06%.
