June 6, Fineko/abc.az. The Kremlin's sanctions against Gazprom's former subsidiary in Germany, Gazprom Germania, implying the termination of gas supplies to it, will cost 5 bn euro annually for taxpayers and consumers.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign media that Gazprom Germania, after the introduction of sanctions by Russia on 11 May, is forced to look for other suppliers. Such reorientation creates a huge burden on the federal budget, since gas will have to be purchased at higher prices.

On 31 March, Gazprom Group suspended its participation and all assets in Gazprom Germania. In April, the German Ministry of Economy & Climate Protection transferred the company to the custody of the Federal Grid Agency until 30 September.
