April 13, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 6.37 tons of vaccines for people from abroad in the amount of $33.695 million (AZN 57.28 million).

ABC.AZ reports that according to calculations based on State Statistics Committee’s data, the cost of vaccines imported into the country increased 4.1-fold, and the volume increased more than by 47.1 times against Jan-Feb 2021.

In volume terms, most vaccines are imported into the country from Belgium. This country exported vaccines for $6.62 million (AZN 11.254 million) to Azerbaijan over Jan-Feb.

In terms of value, China is the main supplier of vaccines to Azerbaijan. During the reporting period 1.12 tons of vaccines for humans for $22.001 million (AZN 37.403 million) were imported from China to Azerbaijan.
