February 25, Fineko/abc.az. As part of a new package of social reforms implemented on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev, salaries have been raised again in the country since the beginning of 2022.
ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Labor & Social Protection of the Population that due to the increase in the minimum wage from 250 up to 300 manats for 800,000 employees, including those whose salaries are determined on the single tariff grid (STG), wages have increased by an average of 20%.
The average monthly salary of those working under the STG has increased from 387 manats up to 465 manats. Currently, the minimum wage on this grid (1 line) is 300 manats and the maximum (19 line) is 979 manats.
Additional annual funds allocated from the State Budget to increase the minimum wage will amount to 460 million manats.
