September 2, Fineko/abc.az. Amazon.com Inc is planning to hire 55,000 people.

ABC.AZ reports that according to chief executive Andy Jassy, the company needs more firepower to keep up with demand in retail, the cloud, and advertising, among other businesses.

Jassy emphasized that of the jobs, over 40,000 will be in the U.S., while others will be in countries such as India, Germany, and Japan.

According to the company, with the new hiring of employees, the number of Amazon employees will increase by 20%.
