February 9, Fineko/abc.az. Compared with 2019, last year’s average monthly nominal salary of employees in Azerbaijan’s economy grew by 11.4% up to 707.3 manats, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

The average monthly nominal salary of employees of the extractive industry, information & communications, transport and warehousing, persons engaged in financial and insurance, professional and scientific and technical activities was the highest.

As of 1 January 2021 the quantity of employees in the Azerbaijani economy increased by 45,200 people (or 2.7% compared with 2019) up to 1,691,800 people, including 910,800 ones in the public sector and 781,000 in the private sector.
