January 21, Fineko/abc.az. The State Statistics Committee has published the number of employees as of 1 December 2020.

ABC.AZ reports that during this period 33,900 people worked in the oil and gas sector and 1.65 million ones in the nonoil sector of the economy.

24.5% of the employees were involved in the production sector, including 7.8% in construction, 7.7% in the processing industry, 3.5% in agriculture, forestry and fishing, 2% in mining, 1.8% in the production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas & steam, and 1.7% in water supply, waste treatment and recycling.
