September 9, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on the creation of a new framework for managing economic policy and economic reforms in Azerbaijan and canceling the Presidential Decree #995 from 15 July 2016 “On the establishment of the Financial Stability Council of Azerbaijan".

ABC.AZ reports that the decree says about the Economic Council of Azerbaijan is being created with the purpose to create a new framework for strategic management of economic policy that can form and ensure the implementation of a socio-economic development strategy that reflects the national development priorities of the country in the post-pandemic period, as well as to achieve the practice of effective regulation and legal management.

The composition of the new Council is approved as follows:

Chairman of the Council - Prime Minister of Azerbaijan

Council’s members:

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - head of the Department of Economic Affairs & Innovative Development Policy

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - head of the Department of Economic Policy & Industry

Assistant to the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan

Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan

Minister of Finance of Azerbaijan

Minister of Labor & Social Protection

Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan

Executive Director of the Azerbaijan State Oil Fund.
