May 1, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has reported about 50 new cases of coronavirus infection, while 40 people were cured and released home.

One person died: the analysis of samples taken for the presence of COVID-19 was positive in a citizen born in 1957, who suffered from diabetes, hypertension and coronary heart disease. To date, 1,854 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Azerbaijan. Of them, 1,365 people have been cured, 25 people have died, and 464 people continue to be treated in special-regime hospitals.

The condition of 15 of them is assessed as severe, 29 people as moderate, the condition of the rest is stable. Over the past period 146,630 tests were conducted to detect new cases of infection.
