ABC.AZ reports that according to data for Jan-Mar 2020 that 336,300 people work in this sector.

The sphere of trade and repair of vehicles ranks the second largest in the country on the number of employees – 294,900 people. The third ranking sphere on the employment is health and social services to the population – 134,900 employees.
