May 20, Fineko/abc.az. Today, the Public Council under the Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) (KOBIA) organized a forum on the theme "The role of public councils in the development of small & medium-sized businesses".

Addressing to the forum, Ziyad Samedzade, chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship, underlined the importance of the work done by KOBIA to improve the legislation and the importance of creating the Public Council under the Agency.

The Public Council was established to strengthen public participation in the organization of the measures taken for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as to ensure public control over KOBIA’s activity and expand contacts between the Agency and the public. The Council is represented by associations of 15 non-governmental organizations and hundreds of entrepreneurs.
