October 12, Fineko/abc.az. According to the Azerbaijan Chamber of Appraisers, in September, the median offer price of nine tracked mass-produced car models increased by 1.1% compared with August.

At that, the number of car sales ads grew by 11.4% up to 40,373.

The median price for all ads on the automotive market was 18,800 manats, and the average offer price was 29,515 manats.

The largest price increase was recorded for Hyundai Sonata - by 5.5%. At that, Ford Fusion, Opel Astra and Ford Transit fell in price by 1-2%.

The median year of production of the cars offered for sale is 2013, and the median mileage is 193,000 km. More than half of the ads (53.3%) account for cars worth up to 20,000 manats. At that, 41.8% of cars offered for sale are older than 15 years.

The most widely represented brands at the market are Mercedes, Hyundai, LADA, KIA and Toyota.

In the new car segment, 64% of ads are for Chinese brands. In particular, Changan's share is 34%.

Although 60% of passenger cars produced in 2023-2026 are models with hybrid and electric engines, their share in the total market is 12.3%.

Baku accounts for 65.6% of all car sales ads. The median offer price in the capital is 23,500 manats, which is almost twice as much as in the regions where this figure is 11,800 manats.
