October 5, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has changed the rules for the adoption of children left without parental care, including those who are citizens of the country, foreigners and stateless persons.

The relevant decree was signed by President Ilham Aliyev.

According to the document, in order to introduce the candidate to the child and establish family ties, meetings at the institution where the child is located will be held for one month - at least 20 hours per month. Previously, this period was two months - at least 40 hours.

For children aged 0-3 years, based on the conclusion of a social worker, this period can be reduced to 6 hours within 10 days. Previously, it was planned to have at least 12 hours for 20 days.
