Turkey exported most of all goods to Azerbaijan among OTS member countries

October 5, Fineko/abc.az. In 2021-2025, Turkey carried out trade with members of the Organization of Turkic States - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan - for totally $72.2 billion.

According to the Statistical Institute of Turkey (TÜİK), during this period, Turkey's exports to the mentioned countries amounted to $41.6 billion and imports - $30.6 billion, resulting in positive balance of $10.9 billion.

Over the past 5 years, Azerbaijan has become the country to which Turkey exported the most products, with an indicator of $13.7 billion (to Kazakhstan - $12.4 billion, to Uzbekistan - $9.9 billion, to Kyrgyzstan - $5.6 billion).

Kazakhstan took the 1st place in imports with $16.7 billion (from Uzbekistan - $6.9 billion, from Azerbaijan - $6.2 billion, from Kyrgyzstan - $951.9 million).

Thus, the 5-year trade turnover between Turkey and Azerbaijan reached $19.9 billion. In the first 9 months of 2026, Turkey exported $4.8 billion to these four countries.

At the next stage of economic cooperation, the Middle Corridor, energy, artificial intelligence, digital trade and free economic zones have been identified as the main directions, while the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway remains one of the key elements in logistics.
