Who Manufactures Global Electronics? East Asia Controls Over 80% of Production Capacity

October 2, Fineko/abc.az. According to data from Visual Capitalist, East Asian nations continue to dominate the global electronics manufacturing sector. The report covers semiconductor foundries, displays, printed circuit boards (PCBs), smartphones, and computers.

Just four countries — China (58.8%), Taiwan (10.2%), South Korea (6.7%), and Japan (4.8%) — command 80.5% of total global manufacturing capacity. They are followed by India (3.8%), Vietnam (3.6%), and the US (2.9%).

Meanwhile, the entire Americas region (US, Mexico, Brazil) accounts for only 4.5% of global capacity, with the Rest of the World holding a combined 1.7%.
