September 22, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2026, Azerbaijan exported 540,900 tons of fruits and vegetables for $637.1 million.

According to the State Customs Committee, compared with Jan-Aug 2025, the value of exports grew by $76.3 million, or 13.6%, and the physical volume by 1,400 tons, or 0.2%.

The export of fruits and vegetables made up 2.9% of total value of Azerbaijan's exports for Jan-Aug 2026.

Over the past 8 months, the country imported 223,100 tons of fruits and vegetables for $205.1 million. The cost of imports increased by $2.2 million, or 1.1%, while the physical volume declined by 33,900 tons, or 13.2%, compared with Jan-Aug 2025.

The cost of imported fruits and vegetables made up 1.8% of total value of Azerbaijan's imports.

For Jan-Aug 2026, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $33.238 billion, including exports for $21.815 billion (a rise of 27.8%) and imports for $11.423 billion (a drop by 24.1%).
