September 4, Fineko/abc.az. The official name for Baku Metro’s upcoming station has been established. Under a decree signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov, the new station located at 194 Jalil Mammadguluzadeh Street in the Nasimi district has been officially named "20 September" ("20 Sentyabr").

The decision follows an initiative by President Ilham Aliyev to commemorate the full restoration of Azerbaijan's state sovereignty across its entire territory on September 20, 2023. The Baku City Executive Power and Baku Metro CJSC have been instructed to carry out all administrative and technical measures required by the decision.
