September 4, Fineko/abc.az. The State Committee for Standardization of Belarus has banned the sale and import of the 8-year-old Armenian brandy "Yerevan 2800" due to non-compliance with Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union.
According to official registers, laboratory testing revealed insufficient levels of tannins in the product manufactured by Armenia’s "MAP" CJSC, leading regulators to classify it as unsafe.
This follows an earlier Belarusian ban on 6-year-old Armenian brandy produced by the "Shahnazaryan Wine-Brandy House". Similar regulatory suspensions were enacted by Russia in May against multiple Armenian distillers, including "Vedi-Alko" and "Abovyan Cognac Factory."
