September 3, Fineko/abc.az. Semiconductor giant Nvidia has agreed to acquire the artificial intelligence startup Hugging Face in a transaction valued at approximately $13 billion, marking the largest acquisition to date by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.

In its official announcement, Nvidia confirmed that Hugging Face will remain an open platform, continuing to support third-party chipmakers and allowing developers to freely upload and download AI models and datasets. Founded in 2016 and valued at $4.5 billion three years ago, Hugging Face serves as one of the central hubs where developers share and host open AI models.
