August 26, Fineko/abc.az. An analytical review of key e-commerce players from 2018 to 2025 highlights a dramatic shift in global market dynamics. While Amazon dominated the industry unchallenged seven years ago, the rapid ascent of Asian platforms is driving the market toward a new bipolar structure.
Although Amazon maintained top position, expanding from 250% to 420%, its growth trajectory shows clear signs of deceleration. The most prominent breakthrough comes from Temu, which surged from 100% in 2018 to nearly 260% by 2025. Meanwhile, AliExpress (50% to 85%) and eBay (25% to 45%) show moderate progress, Shein tracks steady but slow gains, and Wish remains stagnant at roughly 1%.
Platform growth dynamics:
Amazon: 250% ➔ 420% (Maintains leadership, slowing momentum)
Temu: 100% ➔ 260% (Fastest-growing market challenger)
AliExpress: 50% ➔ 85% (Moderate growth)
eBay: 25% ➔ 45% (Sluggish expansion)
Shein & Wish: Shein shows slow progress; Wish (~1%) stalls completely.
