August 25, Fineko/abc.az. In January–July 2026, Azerbaijan transported 3.570 million tons of cargo worth $7.683 billion by road. According to the State Customs Committee, this represents a decrease of 0.3% ($22.6 million) in value and 1.6% (56.9 thousand tons) in volume compared to the same period in 2025.

Key Figures and Dynamics:

• Exports: Road cargo exports totaled 1.607 million tons valued at $1.734 billion during the reporting period, marking an increase of 20.2% ($291.9 million) in value and 4.3% (66.3 thousand tons) in volume year-on-year.

• Imports: Road cargo imports stood at 1.963 million tons worth $5.949 billion, increasing by 5% ($314.5 million) in value and 5.9% (123.2 thousand tons) in volume compared to the same period last year.

• Total Freight Traffic: Over the first 7 months of 2026, overall freight transportation across all transport modes reached 31.811 million tons worth $29.217 billion, up 1.3% in value but down 7.5% in volume year-on-year.
