August 20, Fineko/abc.az. According to the State Customs Committee, Azerbaijan exported 40,500 tons of persimmons worth $32.1 million during the first seven months of 2026. Compared to the same period last year, export volumes declined by 11.5% (5,300 tons), while total revenue dropped by 2.5% ($845,000).

Total foreign trade turnover expanded by 1.3% to $29.216 billion. Exports accounted for $19.336 billion (up 27%), while imports totaled $9.881 billion (down 27.4%). Consequently, our foreign trade surplus reached $9.455 billion, marking a 5.9-fold increase year-on-year.
