August 13, Fineko/abc.az. In the first seven months of this year, sales of pharmaceutical products and medical supplies in Azerbaijan's retail network reached 1 billion 79.9 million manats.

According to the State Statistics Committee, this marks a 23.8% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Purchases of pharmaceutical and medical items accounted for 2.8% of total consumer spending in the retail sector.

Overall retail trade turnover in Azerbaijan grew by 3.8% in real terms during January–July, reaching 38 billion 358.5 million manats. Food, beverages, and tobacco products accounted for 20 billion 843.9 million manats (up 1.4%), while non-food sales totaled 17 billion 514.6 million manats (up 6.6%).
