August 10, Fineko/abc.az. OpenAI has announced a major upgrade for users on the free tier of ChatGPT.

Starting next week, free users will receive unlimited text messaging powered by the new default model, GPT-5.6 Luna, which replaces GPT-5.5 Instant. The updated model significantly reduces factual errors and improves response accuracy. Additionally, a new "Think" button is being introduced to enable deeper reasoning capabilities for complex prompts.

Standard limitations will remain in place for non-text features, including image generation, file uploads, and other specialized tools.
