December 11, Fineko/abc.az. The average salary has increased in Azerbaijan.

The State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan informs that the average monthly salary of employees in Azerbaijan for Jan-Oct increased by 2.8% up to 540 manats versus the same period of 2017.

"Wages in the mining industry, financial and insurance sector, professional, scientific and technical activities, information and communication, transport and warehousing, as well as the construction sector are even higher," the Committee said.

The SSC reports that on 1 November the number of employees increased by 2.3% up to 1,552,800 people, including 884,700 people working in the public and 668,100 in the private sector.
