July 21, Fineko/abc.az. According to the UK Office for National Statistics (ONS), the country's unemployment rate stood at 4.9% in the March–May period.
While the figure is up 0.2 percentage points compared to the same period last year, it remained unchanged from the preceding February–April quarter.
ONS Director of Economic Statistics Liz McKeown highlighted a relatively stable labor market. Additionally, annual growth in regular pay within the private sector dipped below 3% for the first time since 2020, whereas public sector wage growth stayed elevated.
